Healing as a R/W - Guild Wars Forums

Are there any other ways to heal as a W/R appart from the one you get at the start - as having to wait for the spell to cast to then have to wait for the spell to regin your hp keeps costing me my life

Well, at the risk of sounding like a ranger noob, cast Troll Unguent before you get too hurt--like Healing Breeze for monks, it's cast-and-forget, which helps you keep on battling.

EDIT: I am indeed a ranger noob, I forgot about Healing Spring.

Yes but this is no good when im being PvP cannon fodder, i was meaning something a little more effective like the skills most of the other classes get to heal,

So, if it's not astronomically expensive, 7+3 Tactics (add a superior rune) with Heal Signet and a +4 Troll Unguent should get you very far in the PvE, because 10 tactics will heal you for 107-115 points (I forget) which is about 1/2 your health.

PS Assuming Heal Signet can be bought for a skill point for W secondary's.

But wont using Heal Signet reduce my armour by 40 or something leaving me venerable to attacks and also what???s the cast time on it as obviously this will effect PvP drastically.

Use Pin Down, run away, use troll unguent then heal sig. Then return to shooting him in the face.

Never use a superior rune for one skill... If you plan on using tactics stances, then use troll ungeant, but tactics (especially using a superior rune for it, which i wouldnt advise even if you were stance heavy) just for signet is a waste.

Healing signet only reduces your armor by 40 while you're casting, so once it's done casting you're fine. I believe the cast time is 2 seconds, so it's not that big of a deal for a pretty large heal. As stated, troll ungeant is a very good healing spell as well, and it can negate the damage dealt to you while you use healing signet to heal.

And as an added bonus, healing signet doesn't cost mana.
